Brainstorming bedrooms

If you follow me on snapchat, you may have seen me talk about a huge project that I hope to finish this year! Im excited to be working on a entire home remodel decorating about 4 bedrooms, two living spaces, kitchen, & dining area. Its slightly overwhelming but I cant wait to see my visions become a reality!

The construction on the home should be wrapped up at the beginning of the year, at that point, I can begin the design process (the fun part!). So, while I still have a little time I've been brainstorming different bedroom ideas. Check out what I've come up with so far...

The home will be occupied with all males, so I tried to keep the bedrooms neutral while doing something different with each space.

This room is almost nautical with all of the navy but way more toned down. I love how grey is the neutral in this space.

This ultimate guys room features leather and wood neutrals. Very clean and masculine.

I thought this space was pretty gender neutral. The calm color pallet resembles a relaxing hotel get-a-way.

For the younger guest, the fun colors in this room brighten up the day. Cool abstract art make for a nice eye catcher.

All of these spaces are rough drafts, but I love getting my creative juices flowing with new projects on my hands. Which one is your favorite?

Loving Neutrals

'Tis the season... to redecorate!

I know, I know... it seems like when you FINALLY get your home the way you like it..you're ready for a change! Well, that's exactly what's come over me! For a while I was happy with my space ..I still am. I even stopped roaming through the home decor isles and took a Pinterest break! But, suddenly I feel inspired. I'm currently craving NEUTRALS. Luxurious neutrals. Rich leathers and soft velvets. Cozy fur and sassy prints. The E-Design above is just a taste of what I have in mind. I've been back in those home decor isles and I've spotted a few gems I really wish I could bring home!

We should all be aware of the greatness that is Nate Burkus! These goodies are apart of his Target line. Who doesn't love illuminated copper and fur poufs?!

Yes, Urban Outfitters has hip clothes, but their home decor section has some gems! Check out this leather butterfly chair. I've been secretly wanting this thing for years!

Cost Plus World Market is oozing with neutral goodness! This jute rug would look so great under a velvet sofa and I just cant get over that antelope fur pillow.. I mean c'mon!

I could go on and on, but I think you get my drift. I'm digging neutrals this season, but for now I'll just dream about them!

Man Cave Mini Reveal

The Modern Man cave is almost complete, so I've decided to share a few photos with you! Remember the E-design with grey and green tones and cool industrial touches?

Well, it started off as a dark and grungy basement full of junk.

The outcome so far is SO good!

There are still tons of little touches that need to be added but so far my client LOVES it. Once the wall art is installed this Modern Man cave will be complete! Stay tuned for final photos on my Portfolio page.

Modern man cave

I've been working on a redesign for a recently finished basement ..turned man cave!

The bones of the

space were kept rustic and industrial and I decided to warm up the place with a light slate grey, hunter green, and chocolate brown color theme. My client was on a tight budget after investing much of his funds into finishing the basement. So for decor, I challenged myself to use one store:

Ikea

. Ikea was a home run! After our walk through the maze of a store, we fell in love with the

Koldby

cow hide rug. It's funky and still warm enough for the space. We chose the

Hektar

floor lamp because of its industrial look and intimate light. Basics such as the

Pugg

wall clock,

Gullklocka

pillow cover, and cool

Knodd

trash can completed the needed decor on our list. The best thing about man caves are the personal touches. We'll be adding old trophies, framed records, and fraternity memorabilia for the finishing touches. I can't wait to share the finished project with you all! Stay tuned for updates on my

projects

page!
